Ever thought you'd noticed MLS sneaking into everyday life via other means than their music? Here's some fuel for the fire...see what you think.

Exhibit A)   Waiting to Explode vs. 4st 7lb

WTE starts with a very depressed Roxy stating she is praying to die...surely a homage to the track 4st 7lb on the Manic Street Preacher's album 'The Holy Bible'. The tracks share a similar title, concept and intro style.

Lyrics to 4st 7lb are available off site.

Exhibit B)    Mornington Crescent vs. Bruce Springsteen

The full title of MLS's MC album is 'Greetings from Mornington Crescent' which seems to mirror the Boss' album 'Greetings from Asbury Park' with a similar postcard style cover.  If this wasn't enough the album contains a track called 'The Angel'

Lyrics to The Angel are available off site.

Exhibit C)    The Crow vs. RI:SE

The recent Channel 4 breakfast show that has replaced the Big Breakfast has enlisted the presenting talents of The Crow...no sorry it's Colin Murray (ex-Radio 1 DJ).

Exhibit D)    Jake vs. Man Ray

The wonderful cover art for the Sparkle singles seem to bear a slight resemblance to photographs by Man Ray taken in the 1930's.  Look carefully, you might be able to spot slight similarities.
