Farnham 1998

Hello, hello, well to argue with Tony for several million hours I thought Drugstore were...OK but... I thought MLS were great, although Ollie seemed ratherrrrr pissed... Highlight for me was...THE DICE MAN!!! Yessssss!!! At last! They played New New Yorker, Never Neverland, Walk, Don't Walk, all of which I really really like now, and three other new ones that I havent heard before, 12 Reasons in the middle where it belongs and Strumpet as an encore, where it doesnt belong...Funny Ha Ha with Jake on the floor as usual, and still nooooo costume changing for Jake, and he opted for the (very) denim look this time, which lots of people complained about, said it does not look right at all...:-)

Highlights were, well Mark and Kumar seeming to have some large argument with the fan, or maybe they were just arguing with each other, and Kumar playing guitar, finally, I dunno, cos I havent seen them for ages but that was the first time for me...Yeah Ollie on two keys of the keyboard, and then just sat in his chair looking a bit lost and confused and not doing anything. Ah, but I was very satisfied cos they were all coming up to me afterwards and going ooooh are you all right, are you better, how did you manage to stand in the front row...and Rob in the middle of one of the songs, on the stage, noticing me at the front and pointing at me and going ooooooh are you all right is your leg better? Ah they know how to make a little person very happy, I feel nearly as famous as er...yeah OK...

Oh and we met Pallid Dan, who is lovely. And where was Lucy? Anyway, I know I havent seen them for a long time, but I thought they were Brill, I know a lot of the crowd were, er, a bunch of arseholes really (especially the twat who went over my head and then landed on me booting me bloody hard in that leg) but MLS were great. It was really nice hearing all those new things and actually really liking them.

Persistently sparkling
