Yet another successful expedition has been completed by My Life Story Sunshine
Tours. Our mission this time was to infiltrate Bedford, stopping only briefly
in Milton Keynes to collect our secret weapon (Alice). Our purpose in Bedford
was to see if it was possible a) to fit more than 40 people in Esquires, and
b) to see if anyone over 14 would be allowed in.
Once inside we met up with secret agent Ian, cunningly disguised in a semi-normal
pair of trousers and not a frilly hat in sight. (sorry Ian)
Anyway, it must have been one of the best gigs of the tour so far. I even managed
to get right at the front, which is unusual for me. They did the normal set,
minus Funny, Ha Ha, I think Jake was a bit disappointed with the small turn
out, and I was a bit disappointed that Ollie and Becky (and her PVC dress) weren't
there, but their replacements did the job extremely well in their absence.
Jake was on fine form, entertaining the crowd with his anecdotes about April
the First and him mum, and Lady Di videos being filmed in their sound mans house!!!
